This independence ensures that our competitions, scoring, and professional development opportunities remain free from commercial influence and focused solely on the growth, safety, and integrity of the needs of cheer and dance in New Jersey.

NJCDCA uses data-informed practices to guide decisions, strengthen competitive equity, and support teams who wish to compete at the national level, ensuring that New Jersey athletes are prepared for success wherever they choose to perform. Our philosophy recognizes and celebrates all aspects of cheerleading equally.

While we monitor and reference national scoring trends to maintain competitive relevance, NJCDCA will not adopt any single brand-specific scoring system, rubrics, or category weights. Instead, we draw from multiple national models to create an equitable, transparent framework that reflects best practices and the unique needs of New Jersey programs.
